Two-thirds of Americans think AI is advancing too quickly
About half of U.S. adults currently use AI chatbots, a significant increase from 2024, with ChatGPT usage doubling since 2023. Despite this rising adoption, including 60% of users reading AI Overviews, public skepticism remains prevalent. A majority of Americans, 63%, believe AI technology is advancing too quickly, and only 16% anticipate a positive societal impact from AI, with more predicting harm than help.
